More and more employers are considering applicants from other countries to fill vacant positions. While international checks take a longer time to complete, employers can help themselves get through the process more efficiently by providing required information up front.

Each county has different requirements, and the requirements can vary by service. Signed authorization forms are required for all international checks. Below is a list of required information on countries for which we frequently receive requests.

GENERAL TO MOST COUNTRIES:

Education

• Full name and address of the campus at which the subject attended school
• Name at the time of graduation if different from the current name
• Type of degree: Bachelor, Master, etc.
• Copy of the degree (front and back if there is information listed on the back) and mark sheets
• End date of enrollment

Employment

• Full name and address of employment location at which the subject worked
• Name during employment if different from the current name
• Department in which the subject worked
• Most recent job title
• End date of employment
• Manager name and contact information is not required, but is helpful

Criminal records

• Full home address in the county where check is requested (last address in if no longer living there)

COUNTRY-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Mexico - Applicant’s mother’s full maiden name is required for all checks

With international checks, sometimes requests for additional information don’t arrive for 3 weeks or more, which can create significant delays. Providing the required information along with the request will help prevent requests for information going back and forth and will save time waiting for information to be requested.
