Employee Training & Development

Held both in-person and virtually, ASE offers over 75 instructor-led courses and four certification programs. ASE's supervisory courses, Principles and Practices of Supervision I and II equip new leaders with the skills they need to excel. Our diverse array of courses offer many opportunities for employees to develop career enhancement skills such as business writing, communication skills, and conflict resolution.  In addition we offer many HR-focused courses such as HR essentials, FMLA, I-9, immigration, and much more.

ASE custom programs are designed to meet your organization’s unique training and development needs.  Custom leadership programs include Leadership Academy, Executive Leadership Academy, Supervisory Institute, and Developing Influential Leadership.  While any course can be customized, other common courses include Respectful Workplace, Management and Best Practices and Legal Compliance, DEI, and Communications.

ASE has partnered with several providers to offer options for on-demand training in the areas of HR compliance, DEI, health and safety, and more.  These courses are pre-recorded and shorter in length than our live, instructor-led courses.  They offer a flexible option for continuous learning with best pricing for ASE members.

ASE has partnered with our sister association, Catapult, to offer study courses for PHR®/SPHR®/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certifications. With convenient scheduling options and high value resources and instruction, students boast a 90% pass rate.

The 30-hour, 3-month Sales Academy is ideal for salespeople, sales managers, inside sales, project managers, sales engineers, customer service, and all personnel that “touch the sale.” If you and your salespeople do quotes upon quotes only to HOPE for the business, this is for you! Participants will learn to qualify and disqualify all sales opportunities properly and determine when a quote is appropriate and how to follow up on that quote to produce a sale.
