Troy, Mich. ---April 18, 2022 --- ASE, Michigan’s trusted HR partner, announces its Michigan Pay & Economic Briefing will take place June 7, 2022, in Troy, MI.

The pandemic has permanently altered the world of work.  We have entered a perfect storm in which many employers find themselves fighting a losing battle for talent.  How do employers respond to these challenges?  In today’s market, successful organizations will be those armed with information.  This pay and economic briefing will arm employers with critical insights as they face decisions about the future where the only thing that is certain is change.

ASE President & CEO, Mary E. Corrado, announced the conference and stated, “With the Great Resignation challenging employers, competitive compensation is more important than ever.  This briefing will include results from ASE’s 2022 Michigan Compensation Survey.  In its 70th year, our data is the only Michigan-exclusive data available to Michigan employers and is crucial to remaining competitive in an employee driven market.”

The briefing will take place from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and will include breakfast followed by two sessions:

Pay Trends 2022
Kevin Marrs, Vice President, ASE

Employers are in the midst of one of the most challenging labor markets in recent memory, one in which we find HR departments struggling to attract and retain employees at any price.  Some of the challenges are a direct result of the pandemic, but much of the struggles have been long in the making.  This informative session will provide timely insights from ASE’s recent benchmarking activity including the 2022 ASE Michigan Compensation Survey. The session will include a review of salary movement based on data collected in early 2022 as well as important economic factors that have and will continue to impact local wages and salaries.

2022 Economic Update
James Robey, Owner and Principal, Robey Analytics

Jim Robey of Robey Analytics returns to ASE to review regional, state, and national economic trends influencing employers.  With inflation at its highest point in more 40 years and employers facing the tight labor markets and crippling supply chain issues, many are facing uncertainty about the future of the economy.  Robey will share important insights on the current economic conditions and share his perspective on trends that may affect employers.
