Chester AI is an AI assistant powered by Betty AI. It provides responses based on ASE’s vetted resources but might not always reflect the most current policies or interpretations. Always consult official ASE materials or staff for authoritative information.

• Chester AI is intended for informational purposes only and should not be used as a substitute for professional advice in legal, employment law, or HR compliance.
• Users are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any information before acting on it.
• ASE is not liable for any decisions or actions taken based on Chester AI’s responses.

 By using Chester AI you agree to these Terms of Use and to the Betty AI Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please refrain from using Chester AI.  By using this platform, you acknowledge these limitations and accept full responsibility for how you use Chester AI-generated content. ASE reserves the right to suspend and/or terminate your access to Chester AI at any time without notice for any reason whatsoever.

Purpose and Limitations
Chester AI is designed to help ASE members and visitors access information, resources, and guidance. It is not a substitute for professional judgment, personalized consultation, or expert advice. Users should verify important information independently.  Chester AI is not intended to substitute for legal advice and counsel and /or services:

1. Intended audience: ASE makes materials available on the site for public service and educational purposes. The target audiences are members of ASE or nonmembers who have access to limited resources specifically permitted by ASE.
2. ASE is not a provider of legal services: ASE does not represent or agree to provide any legal services or advice and counsel and strongly recommends that any actions taken through use of the materials on the site be vetted and cleared by your legal counsel.
3. Not intended as legal advice or counsel: The site is neither intended nor designed as providing any legal advice or counsel for any purpose for any user of the site.  The purpose is for the user to determine their needs or possible issues and to rely on the advice and counsel of their organization’s legal counsel

Unlawful or Prohibited Use

As a condition of your use of Chester AI, you warrant to ASE that you will not use Chester AI for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms, conditions, and notices. You may not use Chester AI in any manner which could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Chester AI or interfere with any other party's use and enjoyment of the Chester AI. You may not obtain or attempt to obtain any materials or information through any means not intentionally made available or provided for through Chester AI.

Privacy and Data Handling
Chester AI does not collect or store personal data by default. Conversations may be logged to improve the accuracy and coverage of ASE’s content. Users should avoid entering personally identifiable information (PII). If you believe your data should be removed, please contact ASE at asenewsletter@aseonline.org.

Intellectual Property
All materials generated or provided by Chester AI including logos, content, and responses, are the property of ASE and/or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify this content without permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties
Chester AI is provided “as is.” ASE makes no warranties as to the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the information provided. The organization is not responsible for any decisions made based on Chester AI’s responses.

Limitation of Liability
ASE shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use Chester AI. By using Chester AI, you agree to hold ASE, its officers, agents, and employees harmless from all claims.

Outages

From time to time, ASE’s website and/or Betty AI may experience outages that impacts Chester AI.   ASE is not responsible for any outages, whether it is ASE’s website, Betty AI, or other outage which may impact Chester AI. 

Modifications
ASE may modify these Terms of Use for Chester AI at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan without regard to conflict of law principles.

Special Notes

Members-Only Access: When accessed behind a member login, content is limited to authorized users per ASE’s membership policies.

Data Integrations: When connected to systems such as an AMS or CRM or similar type systems, Chester AI follows ASE’s privacy standards and does not store personal data outside those systems.
