2026 Cycle 1 Application Period is Open
Applications are now open for Fiscal Year 2026 Cycle 1 of the Going PRO Talent Fund, a statewide grant program that strengthens Michigan’s economy by closing critical skill gaps and building a more competitive workforce. Michigan businesses have until October 30 to apply for $29 million in training grant funding through their local Michigan Works! agency, with award announcements expected later this fall.

Get the money and resources you need to train and reskill talent! Learn how to apply for the 2026 Going PRO Talent Fund at this informational session hosted by ASE and presented by Michigan Works! The Going PRO Talent Fund makes awards to employers to assist in training, developing, and retaining current and newly hired employees. The Cycle 1 application period opened October 14th and closes October 30th. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how your organization can secure funding to build a stronger, more skilled workforce.
ASE IS AN ELIGIBLE GOING PRO TALENT FUND PROVIDER
ASE is an eligible private training provider that offers training in the areas of leadership and management that meet Going PRO funding requirements. Some of ASE’s supervisor and leadership development courses that can potentially be included in your Going PRO Talent Fund application are listed below. Some ASE certifications, such as the AI Micro-Certification, may also qualify. HR programs do not.
- Leadership Essentials
- Performance Appraisals: Planning and Conducting
- Principles and Practices of Supervision I & II – This three day in-person or six half-day virtual, instructor-led course addresses first and second line leadership competencies.
- Project Management Basics
- Supervise with Success
- Supervisory Skills 101 and 102
Each Employer Must Work with Their Local Michigan Works! Agency to Apply
