Roundtable - Managing a Small HR Department – Taking it to the Next Level

Most small and midsize organizations have under-resourced HR departments, especially considering their ever-expanding list of responsibilities. Small and single-member HR departments face all the same challenges of larger organizations, but they have to handle them with much less time and many fewer resources.  Still, working in a small HR department can be very rewarding since HR can positively impact the organization on many levels, and see results sooner.

 

On Friday, February 15, 2019 ASE will host and facilitate a roundtable discussion where ASE members can share their experiences, identify best practices, and brainstorm with each other. This will help participants address the issues and challenges of managing a small HR department.  

 

 

Topics for discussion include the following:

  •         Building an HR foundation
  •         How to manage time by focusing on high-impact areas
  •         Systems and tools to help with efficiency and administration
  •         What relationships should you build inside and outside your organization?
