Chester joined ASE as our official Mascot in March of 2025 at the HR Conference. His name gives homage to Chester Murphy Culver, who served as the general manager of the Employers’ Association of Detroit (EAD) from 1916 to 1952.  Long before Culver took that position, however, he was intimately connected to the people who created the EAD (now ASE) in 1902.

Chester interacts with Michigan employers along with the business development team as they meet with current and future members.
