Livonia, Mich. ---May 11, 2016 --- The  American Society of Employers (ASE), one of the nation’s oldest and largest employer associations, announces its 6th annual Total Rewards Compensation and Benefits Conference will be held on Wednesday, June 15 at the VistaTech Center at Schoolcraft College in Livonia.  ASE CEO Mary E. Corrado notes that comprehensive compensation and benefits plans comprise an important element of total rewards and are a cornerstone of strong organizations.

“Human Resources professionals are charged not only with staying current on best practices for setting pay and benefit levels for their organizations, but looking forward to emerging trends in the field to remain competitive employers. Creativity counts; one size fits all generic approaches can waste time and money on programs that don’t resonate with employees or meet business objectives,”

Corrado said. “The Compensation and Benefits Conference is focused on providing information that has immediate applicability as well as introducing total rewards issues and ideas that are on the horizon but need to be considered now.”

Specifically, conference attendees will be able to:

·         Learn best practices in compensation and benefit strategies

·         Network with peers and subject matter experts in the field of total rewards

·         Identify ways to make a meaningful impact on their organization’s bottom line

Additionally, ASE will reveal the results of its 2016 compensation surveys. It is the 64th year the surveys have been published.

“ASE’s annual compensation and benefits surveys are a critical tool in helping Michigan companies set pay and benefit standards,” Corrado said. “With the recent history of relatively flat salary budgets, conference attendees will be especially attentive to this year’s results. Regardless of the findings, though, the conference’s deep dive into the survey results always creates a buzz among conference participants because they want to make sure their company is keeping pace – or setting the pace.”

The keynote speaker for the half-day conference is Senior Vice President and Chief Economist for Comerica Bank, Robert A. Dye, Ph. D. Breakout session topics include updates on overtime pay, leading practices for global compensation and global job architecture in today’s environment and engaging employees in their healthcare.  For a complete conference agenda and registration information, please visit the ASE website.
