Livonia, Mich. ---October 19, 2017 --- The American Society of Employers (ASE), one of the nation’s oldest and largest employer associations, will host its Annual Summit on Wednesday, November 1st at the Detroit Athletic Club from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Business leader, battle-hardened entrepreneur, nationwide bestselling author, and business transformation keynote speaker, Michael Veltri will deliver the evening’s keynote address.  Veltri’s mission is to teach successful professionals how to make better decisions and reach peak performance with balance — not burnout. 

Michael has uncovered an ancient philosophy of peak performance called The Mushin (Moo-sheen) Way and now teaches it to audiences around the world via his keynote speeches and nationwide bestselling book, The Mushin Way to Peak Performance: The Path to Productivity, Balance, and Success.  “His speech is sure to inspire, and ASE is delighted to have him,” stated Mary E. Another highlight of the evening will be the presentation of ASE’s Michigan Human Resource Executive of the Year awards, which recognize commendable work by executives in the field of Human Resources Management and distinguishes those who represent the best in their profession.

ASE will honor the following as the 2017 HR Executives of the Year:

Kris Munroe, HR Director, Roush Enterprises, Inc. - Organizations with over 1,000 Michigan employees

Julia Kellogg, PHR, SHRM-CP, Executive Vice President of Human Resources, North American Bancard - Organizations with fewer than 1,000 Michigan employees

Greg Ghilardi, Chief Human Resources Officer, MidMichigan Health - Health and Human Services organizations with 500 or more Michigan employees

Melissa Peña Gallis, Chief Talent Officer, Leader Dogs for the Blind - Health and Human Services organizations with fewer than 500 Michigan employees

ASE’s 2017 Annual Summit is open to both ASE members and non-members. Tickets are $99 per person, $539 for groups of six, and $639 for groups of eight.
