Livonia, Mich. ---July 17, 2017 --- The  American Society of Employers (ASE), one of the nation’s oldest and largest employer associations, will help attendees enhance their understanding of employment laws and regulations at its annual, full-day Employment Law Workshop, to be held Thursday, August 17, at the VisTaTech Center at Schoolcraft College in Livonia.

“For the past eight years, employers have been operating in a highly regulated and difficult environment.  With the election, it appears that the pendulum is swinging the other direction,” stated Corrado.  “This workshop will provide HR professionals a better understanding of the current administration’s employment enforcement philosophy while giving practical advice to everyday problems that arise in any employment setting.”

The Employment Law Workshop will feature a legislative update on Federal and State laws, attorney-led panels and specialized breakout sessions reviewing the laws and regulations that impact the day-to-day employer/employee relationship. Highlighted sessions include:

·       Getting a Handle on Intermittent FMLA Leave

·       Pitfalls in Social Media Recruiting

·       “Ask the Lawyer” open forum lunch session

·       That’s Time Worked?

·       Retaliation in the Workplace

·       The Election is Still Causing Havoc in the Workplace

·       Immigration Employment Policy Under the Trump Administration

·       My Employee Did What Off Hours?
