Michigan’s Amended Minimum Wage and New Earned Sick Time Laws

Michigan passed an amendment to the Michigan Minimum Wage law progressively increasing this state’s minimum wage to just over $12/hr. by 2030. In addition, the Earned Sick Time law the requires employers with 50 or more employees to provide unpaid time off to care for themselves or family members that are ill or injured.
