Salary Survey and Engineering, Production & Trade Wage & Salary Survey
These are two of the most comprehensive compensation surveys in the State of Michigan. They cover data from over 400 companies representing more than 500 positions across more than 30 job families, including Information Systems, Administration, Finance, Engineering, Medical/Allied Health, Human Resources, Plant Supervision & Management, Sales/Marketing, Quality Control/Assurance, Assembly, Inspection/Quality, Maintenance, Material Handling, Production Labor, Skilled Trade, Traffic & Fleet and more.

Salaries for Co-op Students & Recent College Graduates Survey
This survey reports data for recent college graduates by discipline for Bachelor, Master and Doctorate degrees. The survey also reports co-op rates by educational level for technical and non-technical jobs. Co-op rates vary from junior in high school to Master and Ph.D. interns. The survey also reports the benefits that are provided to co-op students.

National Economic Trends Survey
This survey is sponsored by 27 Employer Associations throughout the U.S. Nearly 2,800 companies participated in this survey and provided detailed information regarding how they will be responding to the changing economy. Topics reported for this survey include business outlook, pay strategies, cost cutting measures and many others. Data is reported nationally and for Michigan.

National Executive Compensation Survey
This survey is sponsored by 20 Employer Associations throughout the U.S. More than 1,850 companies participate in this survey yearly and report compensation and benefits data for more than 45 positions. Data is broken out by industry, organization type, sales volume and organization size. Data is reported as base cash, cash bonus, other cash payments and total compensation. Each position reports benefits data for automobiles, deferred compensation, stock options, club memberships, etc.

National Policies & Benefits Survey
This survey is sponsored by 18 Employer Associations throughout the U.S. 2,300 companies participate in this survey biennially. The survey reports trends in policies and benefit practices. Data is reported nationally and for Michigan, and is broken out into nine major categories (health & welfare benefits; retirement benefits; miscellaneous benefits; pay practices; working conditions; paid time off; part-time employees; recruitment, training & development; and employee/community relations). Data is based on three employer sizes for four employee classifications.

National Salary Budget Survey
The National Salary Budget Survey provides results from 24 Employer Associations including ASE's Salary Budget Survey data. This year's survey covers the actual and projected pay change and variable/bonus award data. Results are summarized by industry, company size, and employees categories (i.e.,  Executive & Officer positions; Exempt Supervisory, Managerial and Professional; Non-Exempt Office, Clerical & Technical; Production, Maintenance, Material Handling and Service employees who work in a union environment; and Production, Maintenance, Material Handling and Service employees who work in a non-union environment. Data is reported for All Regions and is further broken out by Midwest, Northeast, Southern, and Western regions.

National Sales Compensation & Practices Survey
This survey is sponsored by 17 Employer Associations throughout the U.S. Over 700 companies participate in this survey yearly and report compensation and benefits data for more than 20 sales positions. Data is reported nationally and for Michigan and is broken out by compensation type (salary, salary plus commission, straight commission, etc.), business category, industry, and gross sales volume. Additional information is reported on incentive practices, and expense allowances for automobiles and travel.

National Wage & Salary Survey
The survey contains compiled data from over 216,000 employee rates, covering 20 states and 39 major metropolitan / regional areas. Twenty-nine Employer Associations carefully reviewed job descriptions from local salary surveys and only reported data for positions that closely matched the 151 benchmark occupations. Wage and salary data is provided for a wide range of Production Trades; Office, Clerical, and Technical; and Supervisory and Professional positions.

Health Care Insurance Benefits Survey
This survey reports on practices for traditional healthcare benefit programs as well as non-traditional healthcare programs including Health Maintenance Organizations, Preferred Provider Organizations, and Point of Service Plans. The survey also covers dental, optical, master medical and prescription drug plans. Data is based on three employer sizes for four employee classifications. Other data includes sections for part-time and retired employee benefits and cafeteria/flexible benefit plans. This survey reports data in actual dollar amounts as well as percentages where applicable.

Holiday Schedule & Practices Survey
This survey reports on what companies are doing for the holidays throughout the entire year. The survey also reports on company gifts and holiday parties. Data is based on three employer sizes for four industry classifications.

Michigan Policies & Benefits Survey
The Michigan survey is a subset of the National Policies & Benefits Survey (see above). Data is broken out into nine major categories (health & welfare benefits; retirement benefits; miscellaneous benefits; pay practices; working conditions; paid time off; part-time employees; recruitment, training & development; and employee/community relations). Data is based on three employer sizes for four employee classifications.

Salary Budget Survey
This survey provides valuable information regarding actual and projected salary budget increases, salary structure adjustments and the prevalence of variable compensation programs. The survey reports data for company size, industry classifications and is broken out by non-exempt, exempt and officer/executive. Additional information is reported on lump sum payments, salary structures including broadbanding, and stock plans.
