Principles and Practices of Supervision I  


Objective: 
To assist attendees in strengthening their personal communication skills, and in focusing on differing personal values held by employees at various levels in an organization. The emphasis is on developing a better understanding of people in the organization and on using this knowledge to increase the participant's effectiveness on the job.

Content:

  • Make the transition from worker to supervisor
  • Understand the supervisor's role
  • Understand the relationship between supervisor and employee
  • Resolve conflict and build team spirit
  • Communicate with peers and subordinates effectively
  • Motivate employees in a changing work environment
  • Give and receive constructive feedback

Who Should Attend:
Managers, supervisors and team leaders, and newly appointed or potential supervisors.

Note: This is a three day program spanning three consecutive weeks.

Participants must attend all 3 sessions to receive certificate

CEU: 1.8
