LEAN Principles in Manufacturing and Service  


Objective: 
This one-day seminar will provide you with an understanding of Lean principles, concepts and tools that will help you reduce inefficiences and errors (waste) from your operations. Learning will occur through lecture, discussion and group activities.

Content:
Upon completion of this course you will:

  • Learn why "Lean" is "Hot"
  • Gain a basic understanding of Lean Philosophy and Mindset
  • Learn to use Lean Methods and Tools
  • Recognize the Eight Types of Waste
  • Discover how Standardization and Visual Controls play a role in LEAN
  • Become aware of Kaizen and Problem Solving

This course is designed as a Lean foundation for management, supervisors and employees who have responsibilites related to problem solving and continuous improvement.
