Objective:
To provide a complete basic overview of successful international human resources with specific emphasis on international assignments.
Content:
- Start without prior experience, to learn the key elements of an international assignment policy/program, its key elements and how each element inter-relates to all other elements in a policy/program
- Develop and review an organzational policy/program, develop an assignment letter, create a remunueration/compensation/benefits package, provide for tax assistance and engage in cost containment strategies with an emphasis on return on investment
- Review the various strategies and concepts of compensation and tax approaches and review common areas for cost containment and maximizing assignment return on investment
- Review concepts for selection and repatriation, employee relocation, culture and language issues, employee/family security and supplier management Other topics will include organizational assignment support, mentoring and a brief discussion of visa issues
