Implementing Employee Orientation Programs  


Objective: 
You will be asked to develop orientation programs that sustain a new employee's enthusiasm, introduce employees to their jobs more efficiently, and partner new employees with their employers so that organizational commitment is a mutual endeavor.

Content:

  • Share your organization's history, mission statement, goals, culture, policies/procedures, and other valuable information with new employees
  • Include work assignments as an expected component of the orientation program
  • Make organizational resources available to new employees as they explore their new surroundings
  • Create and present an orientation program that is a continuous learning process, not a static event

Who Should Attend:
Human resource personnel, supervisors, and staff personnel who are required to conduct new employee orientations.
