Objective: 
To acquaint HR personnel and line managers with the principles of equal employment opportunity and to assist you in ensuring your organization's compliance in order to minimize risk and create a positive and harmonious work environment.

Content:
You will learn how to:

  • Understand and comply with the laws governing equal employment opportunity
  • Respond to EEO complaints
  • Conduct investigations
  • Respond to EEOC and MDCR charges
  • Define illegal employment discrimination
  • Plan, apply, and change workplace rules to avoid illegal employment discrimination
  • Deal with specific claims for race, national origin, sex and age discrimination in the workplace
  • Recognize mixed-motive discrimination cases Develop appropriate EEO policies
  • Implement expansive remedies of compensatory and punitive damages
  • Administer employment tests
