HR Generalist Certification Curriculum

To be more effective on the job, both experienced HR personnel and those new to the field must keep abreast of changes in the field.

The American Society of Employers has responded to its member’s commitment to maintaining high standards in the HR profession by designing a certification curriculum that provides comprehensive and practical information to the enrollee.  ASE has made its curriculum flexible so that you can select topics that meet your job-related requirements.

The HR Generalist Certificate will be awarded when you accumulate a total of eight core and eight elective credits within a 24-month period:

  • Credits are awarded on the basis of course completion. Each seminar is valued at one credit per full-day program and one-half credit per half-day program.
  • Upon completion of the certification curriculum, you will be receive a deluxe personalized certificate mounted on a wall plaque. You will also receive a certificate of completion for each individual program that you complete.
  • You can customize your own core curriculum by combining the two required core credits, with six credits from the list of core programs.
  • You can customize your elective curriculum by selecting programs totaling eight credits from the list of elective classes.
